The 02905

For this blog post I chose to collect demographic data in the community of 02905. I chose this because this is currently where my internship is and I was curious to find out more.

My demographic data findings:
  • 81.4% have a high school diploma or higher
  • 26.8% are below the poverty level
  • 9,126 people identified as Hispanic or Latino
  • 6,485 of young people under the age of 18 are at or under the poverty level

Many of these demographics were not surprising to me because of the demographics of my internship. Most of the students are ESL learners, have free or reduced lunch and the majority of the school's population identify as Hispanic or Latino.
